Default city election commission stephanie singer doesn't like Republicans

[City Commissioner Stephanie Singer, a Democrat, sent a message from her campaign that read, in part, "As a woman, and as a Jew, I am horrified at the prospect of Republican control of government."]
Metro - City Commissioner Stephanie Singer

This is nuts. A classic example of another person who never studied Civics in High School, and doesn't understand the importance of a two-party system, a balance of power, and god forbid perhaps bipartisanship?

After 65 years of one-party Democratic rule in Philly, she is still horrified at the prospect of a Republican government? I'm not sure it can get any worse than it is currently, lady.

She should resign. It's obvious her main interest is not in ensuring a fair voting process. Her main goal is to maintain the control of the Democratic machine which strangles the life out of this City.

I dunno I think a two party system is also is a bit silly for a country as big and diverse as the US. I think smaller more focused parties would force coalitions and take some of the ridiculousness out of the "binary" arguments that play out. By effectively forcing every pol into an either or situation this representing such a wide range of interests doesn't really serve well.

    Just my $0.02

From what I understand, that used to be the case when fusion ballots existed. So of course states started outlawing them.
