A story from Philly.com:
Letters: A defense of Council aide Latrice Bryant
"After reading the article about Latrice Bryant (" 'Booka!' Council staffer throws down in club," Daily News, Oct. 9), I feel I had to respond. I have known Latrice and her family for close to seven years now. We have attended the same church and are both engaged in community service. Latrice is highly educated and does a wonderful job in the councilman's office, I have referred many people there as I am a social worker at DHS for services, and they have been satisfied.........[w]hen it comes to people I am glad that we have in public service, Latrice and her family are on the top of my list."
Would someone please tell me what "highly educated" means in her case since I've heard that line before and still don't know what her educational background supposedly is.
Her deleted Myspace said she was a college graduate.
But she really needs to quit with the social media while she's behind and go away:

DAVID KRAIN...THANK YOU....THANK YOU TO YOU...MY SUPER AWESOME FRIEND...WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO WRITE NICE THINGS ABOUT....ME..ME..ME! YES...I AM IN "THAT" PAPER AGAIN....and GUESS WHAT?? Something NICE is wrote about me...NOT BY THEM...BUT MY DEAR FRIEND ---David Krain!!! I LOVE & APPRECIATE YOUR LETTER PUBLISHED IN TODAY'S PAPER (Page 14)
"Something nice is wrote about me"???
Oh, Latrine, please go away.
I am not the Jackass Whisperer.
Yeah it's the decades-old "Murder Dismissal Device", yet another tool in internet-arguing in Philly. It's usually used whenever the "Lifer Argument" fails.
The argument is structured like this: "Don't bother with X because we're a violent city and we have all these murders."
In his words:
This is the kind of article that should have been used to question what is going on in society where violence is so prevalent. We have seen six or more people get shot over the weekend, fights all over the city.
In other words, don't write about my personal friend Latrice and her serious ethical problems she's had while "working" as a City Council aide, but please devote more pages to blood-n-guts because you don't write enough about murders, thanks.
Latrice wonders why she's the focus of media attention. Like what happened a few years ago is totally lost on her (i.e. the Timesheet scandal). If this is so hard for her to figure out, her lack of ethical knowledge certainly belies all the years and money spent on college. I'm guessing that's probably why she's thriving on public employment rather than private; because she might not be able to make it in private employ--at least not in private employ that demands basic ethical standards.
I can't believe the shot of her licking the Christmas balls at an office party . . . this person really ran for Council? The woman is 40 years old but acts like she's still a sorority chick in a Cancun Girls Gone Wild video. What a sorry ass narcissistic loser.
But how that dyck WGJr can still be a Councilman is just amazing. It's really infuriating to think we will be paying the pension of his personal city-funded ho. The Goode family has certainly mastered the art of filching every last ****ing penny they can from this city and giving nothing back. Even so, the illustrious Jr. must cringe at the sight of such photos, particularly now that Latrine seems to be somebody else's city-funded ho.
WWG Senior despite being one of the more disastrous mayorships in terms of both MOVE and fiscal management has actually been a very active and productive guy in terms of charitable work after leaving electoral politics. Maybe there's some sort of Carter and Habitat for Humanity analogy in there or something.
Not that Latrice and WWG Junior are not a sad, pathetic spectacle. Just sayin'.

I wonder what she put on her timesheet for the time she spent at the DNC in August?
