So I guess neither one of you will get this job since you cannot follow directions. It clearly states in the post to PM for more information.

We do have a Temporary specimen processing job and a Temp admin assistant job, but I'm not emailing anyone. I can't recommend someone for a job if they don't show any initiative!

I would be all over this... PMing you and such, if I were in the market for a job. Thankfully I'm not.

But yes, showing initiative goes a long way. I recently attended a networking session put on by SWEP for recent college grads and others seeking jobs in the environmental field-- I was one of a handful of people from the industry there to answer questions, give advice, and point to job seeking solutions. I'm not a recruiter but there were a few of those from private consulting firms, and all of them said that initiative makes a difference (among other things, obviously).
