Forensic Biologist: Full time position (2) is available in our Criminalistics Lab performing forensic serological testing, and isolation, amplification, and typing of DNA in forensic casework biological samples. Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in biology, chemistry, or natural science. Course work must include biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology (molecular genetics, recombinant DNA technology) or other subjects providing a basic understanding of the foundation of forensic DNA analysis. Seeking a senior level analyst with 7-10 yrs experience.
Lab Support Specialist: Two positions are available for a lab analyst to perform routine analyses of abused and therapeutic drugs in patient samples (e.g. serum, blood, urine, tissue, etc.). Duties include instrument maintenance and set-up; preparation and validation of reagents, controls and calibrators, sample preparation and analysis using LC/MS, and troubleshooting and calibration of lab instrumentation and equipment. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science. Experience with LC/MS and sample extraction is preferred. Candidate must be dependable and display a strong work ethic, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have good computer skills including Excel and windows software. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, second or third shift.
Executive Assistant (Jan-March): Specific responsibilities for this position include coordinating schedules, meetings and seminars, processing correspondence, filing paperwork and taking meeting minutes daily. Responsibilities also include maintaining several Excel spreadsheets and updating and revising several Word documents.
Candidate must have 4 years recent experience as an administrative assistant interacting with upper management nd very proficient with MS Office.
Lab Services Engineer: Position is available in for a Laboratory Service Engineer to coordinate installations, inspect, trouble-shoot, repair and calibrate laboratory equipment. This person will schedule and perform routine maintenance, perform non-routine maintenance, maintain inventory of parts, and coordinate service with outside vendors for assigned laboratory equipment. This person will train others in basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Seeking a minimum of an Associate’s degree in science or electronic engineering technology or similar major and 2-3 years of experience; or a BS/BA science in Biomedical Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of at least 2 types of laboratory equipment such as GC, HPLC, GC/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP/MS, ICP-OES, AA, auto-analyzers, liquid handling devices, and related laboratory equipment.
