Default Leaking basement pipe- need plumber recs

Our basement pipe is leaking. It is the old school iron one. We have done an epoxy job that may or may not hold.
Anyone have any recommendations for a plumber that will be somewhat honest? (15 years of owning these old homes has made me a cynic....)

John Szollose, if he works in your neighborhood. He's based in Roxborough. He's not the cheapest but he's honest as far as I can tell, and responsive, and does good work.

The temporary fix has not been 100% successful. The epoxy has not hardened like it should, possibly due to the dampness though this epoxy can apparently be used under water. Anyone got ideas?

We need more info. Is the pipe vertical or horizontal? Where exactly is it leaking? Is it pouring water out or just seeping?

If it is seeping through the pipe itself not at a joint then it is time to replace that section of pipe. It needs to be cut out and replaced with either another section of cast iron or PVC. They can be installed with rubber couplings.

We used epoxy and couplings as a temp fix. The dripping has stopped.

However I would love a plumber rec. so tha I had it on hand. I am not sure if I have the tools for removing the cast iron pipe.
