    Default House 101 course

This is probably a long shot but does anyone know of a House 101 course(no laughinh please) in the Philly area? I am totally clueless about anything related to simple things like how to turn temperature down on hot water heater or installing a light switch. Really simple stuff that I would like to learn in case I need it in the future.

My friend told me that Temple use to have a course like this but they discontinued it.

Yes. Bob Busser runs one at Mt. Airy Learning Tree. He goes over lot's of basic stuff, good guy, retired architect. Think it runs twice a year?

Basic soldering for copper, dry wall patching, replacing a light fixture. Stuff like that.

I have to second Polar Cub's recommendation. I'd rather search for the info on an as needed basis to save yourself money.
I've seen home fix-it books at the library too. It just seems like the type stuff where I wouldn't want to rely on memory alone and it might be a little more comprehensive.
