    Strange real estate redlining maps.

In Philadelphia, HOLC created three versions of a residential security map, in 1935, 1936, and 1937. The overall picture of real estate conditions in the city became harsher with each corresponding version, with the final 1937 version covering much of the city red and declaring it "hazardous." HOLC resurveyed 23 cities in 1939, but Philadelphia was not among them. Survey sheets corresponding to each graded area exist for the 1936 and 1937 versions of the Philadelphia maps.

That was awesome , but I'm having a hard time finding a map of colonial Philadelphia . Preferably from 6th street down considering that was the edge of town back then, any ideas . I get nothing but Pennsylvania in my searches.

I wonder why there's a 500-ton weight limit on the French map?

It reads, "Riviere de Delaware, dans laquelle batimens de 500 tonneaux peuvent entrer," or, "Delaware River, in which ships of 500 tons can enter," if you zoom in.

This is the map, reprinted in several sources including Dan Cupper's and Fred Abendschein's GG1 book, detailing the portions of the PRR that were electrified in the 1930s. Despite several scans at different resolutions, was unable to resolve some double track into 2 black lines.
