    Default Ward 11 in 1900

Hi, does anyone know if ward 11 in 1900 is the same as it is now? I have a 1900 census, and there are three street names that I cant make out; although, they all seem to end in "place" e.g. one might be Burnwick Place.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks!

    Chris

Thanks! These are very helpful! These streets are still a mystery. I'm going to try to upload the Census, but i think i need to host it first.

Thanks! I'm going to take a look at the map you linked now. The street names are on the left if anyone recognizes them.

I think I can but i'll have to check when i get home from work. I only have the one file on my desktop. That was going to be my next step. I'm almost wondering if the recorder wrote the name of large housing units, not streets in this case.

Burwick Place was gone long before I-95 was built, in the 1922 land use map you can see a garage was built in its place. And yes I know the area well, as I grew up just a half block from the said place. I do remember the two story automotive garage that was there on New Market st. there was also another two story garage around the corner on Fairmount Ave.
