Have a Beauty/Fashion forum and I almost don't know how to act but...

I do enjoy my buys from the various shopping channels.

I have nice jewelry from ShopNBC (channel 316 via DirecTV), love the Candle Impressions Flameless Candles from QVC (channel 317 via DirecTV but the candles are literally all over my home), nice things from HSN (channel 240 via DirecTV) also...etc...

Anyway I receive the "QVC Insider" each month and I thought that it would be nice if we shared the TSVs listed in them. If it becomes a problem we'll stop (I really cannot imagine what the problem would be because I pay for the subscription to it and I receive it each month).

We can add any tidbits from the shopping channels to this thread (What about Bob Bowersox supposedly retiring from his hosting duties at QVC? Hmmm?! Oddly he has "In the Kitchen with Bob" shows scheduled for the month of January 2009), any daily TSV information... Basically anything that relates to any of the shopping channels.

... shopping and buying from bloomies, Nordstrom, N. Marcus... (a few of my favorite department stores) and boutiques because I sometimes shop via television? Very, highly unlikely to happen with me.

It isn't one or the other to, with me but...

I do love my Candle Impressions Flameless Candles, my Lock & Lock containers... from QVC and my buys from HSN and Shop NBC (love my jewelry from Shop NBC but specifically my Invicta Baby Lupah Watches with the diamonds around the faces of them. Too the numerous leather straps and bracelet bands for my Lupahs that allow me to change the looks of my watches to match my outfits)!

Cool posting the TSV list for the coming month. I no longer shop via TV as much as I used to.....got into to much trouble buying stuff I did not need so I no longer watch. That does not mean I do not like a bargain when I can find them. Posting the prices is also good. That way one could do an online search to see if one could beat the price.
Now a days I find that I shop online more and more, I did all of my Christmas shopping that way. Its is convenient and I find that I can really do a better job of comparing prices.

The Candle Impressions Flameless Candles, Lock & Lock... are two of my favorite items from QVC.

The flameless candles are all over my home, have given them as stocking stuffers...

People will see them in my home, see the flickering, the wick (instead of an fugly bulb like in some of the other flameless candles), actually put a hand over the candle and proceed to say, "OOOHHH! Where did you get this from?"

I check too because many times I can find items cheaper. Especially with QVC taxing most of their items even for those of us who mainly shop from them online.

HSN and ShopNBC don't, most times, tax online shoppers.

Flameless candles for me are like non-alcoholic beer. There is just something terribly cozy about burning a real candle. If I can manage it with a three-year-old, then no one else should have any excuses.

Oladybug, it depends on what you enjoy about real candles.

We use Lampe Bergers to scent our home. Love! Have them on every floor and many of the rooms in our home.

The flameless candles? Again all over our home. Bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms...

They are turned on everyday and it all depends upon how long you leave them on concerning the life of the batteries.

I don't care for the flameless candles once they stop flickering. So the batteries are changed more often in our home then it might be in your home. I know people who have had the same batteries in their candles for over a year. In our home they stop flickering in about thirty days.

Try one. We have given them away as gifts, people ooh and aah over them in our home... I think that you will love them?!

ETA: Oladybug, to me, the only name brand to buy are the types from the Candle Impressions line.

I cannot stand that bulb in the middle of some of the other name brands. Candle Impressions Flameless Candles have a wick in the center of their candles (don't worry because the wick cannot be lit).
