See this (long) discussion about no makeup vs natural makeup. When guys say "I don't like girls in makeup", they usually mean "I like girls in natural makeup". : pics

The tl;dr version is that lots of people you think are wearing no makeup are in fact wearing makeup, but not of the sort you'd wear to a club.

I highly recommend them. They have the added advantage of not feeling heavy or greasy.
well if you're going to go that route my fav is Philosophy Hope Oil-Free Moisturizer for Normal/Oily Skin SPF 30 Reviews

I friggin' hate it when I make girls cry and the stupid makeup runs down their face. I have to put on soothing music and remind them that they're never getting out of the basement so there's really no reason to make such a fuss. Speaking of which, time to go meet some ladies!!

I guess you're walking around with a beard and hair down to your feet. I don't think God minds good grooming habits.

I really like the new BB creams. Garnier BB get's good reveiws, is available at the drug store and only costs $13. it is very moisturizing though and may not work as well with combination skin. my sister likes L'Oreal BB for her oily kin.

Ick, Ick, Ick! Garnier's and Maybelline's BB creams are much too much if you're combination to oily skinned. Awful. Nothing like looking like a shiny, greasy pit after an hour or so of wearing.

What works on some skins does not uniformly work on all. It is a question of trial and error at times, and getting someone with familiarity with products to help you navigate the terminology, and samples are always good!

And for the love of all that's green and good, if you're older, with more "mature" skin (you know, lines, crevasses, etc) please don't use Mineral powder makeups. They'll just settle in the lines.

agreed. I didn't know this at first but you can go to sephora and get a sample of whatever you are interested it. go home try it and decide. also if you don't like something you purchased at sephora you can return it. there's a drug store that allows you to return too.. can't remember which one.

I agree with you about the bare essentials mineral make up i tried and tried with that one and it just made me look 20 yrs older. but surprisingly this one works well on me.... in fact i love this line for mature skin.

of course this is not for the OP but since we're dishing make up.

yup. which is why i said the garnier BB may not work on somebody with combination skin. it is great for my super dry skin.

If anything, you might want to wear sunblock to protect your skin. Other than that, you don't need makeup....I hate makeup, myself. Every time I do wear it (if I get 'dressed up' I do wear makeup just to look complete, and I don't even know why I do that..) I break out, ick.

However, because I didn't wear sunblock when I was younger, I have one growth on my nose I am sure I have to get removed soon (I just hope it's not cancer, eek) and I have a crapolad of freckles. So...wear sunblock:-D

You should follow your personal preference, IMO. Good for you for doing that, as that's what it sounds like you're doing. I'm 60YO. I don't wear makeup often because I prefer not to, and when I do, I don't wear much. But as others have said, you might want to wear a sun screen.
