Ex-IRS examiner charged with naming whistleblower
I wonder how much money he walked away with

Despite warnings from the IRS about further contact with the agency being improper, Lerner subsequently sought information from former colleagues about the audit and encouraged them to approve the settlement, the statement said.

He also divulged to people not employed by the IRS the identity of the whistleblower and "details regarding pending IRS audits of other companies," it said

    Barclays scandal: Key players

The Barclays rate-fixing scandal has forced a number of high-level resignations and questions are now being asked about how widespread the practice was, and whether the Bank of England and senior Whitehall figures knew what was happening

    Too Big to Indict

Clearly, the government has bought into the notion that too big to fail is too big to jail. When prosecutors choose not to prosecute to the full extent of the law in a case as egregious as this, the law itself is diminished. The deterrence that comes from the threat of criminal prosecution is weakened, if not lost.

good thing the american taxpayer is here to bail them out

Justice Department outlines HSBC transactions with drug traffickers
    '
maybe we can blame it on the poor people who are caught with a small amount of ???
after all maybe they can pay exorbitant amounts for their defense and everything will be again right with the world ? ? ?

Illicit money: how much is out there?
25 October 2011 - Criminals, especially drug traffickers, may have laundered around $1.6 trillion, or 2.7 per cent of global GDP, in 2009, according to a new report by UNODC. This figure is consistent with the 2 to 5 per cent range previously established by the International Monetary Fund to estimate the scale of money-laundering.

Less than 1 per cent of global illicit financial flows is currently being seized and frozen, according to the report

The Global Banking ‘Super-Entity’ Drug Cartel: The “Free Market” of Finance Capital

In the United States, five banks control half the economy: JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Goldman Sachs Group collectively held $8.5 trillion in assets at the end of 2011, which equals roughly 56% of the U.S. economy. This data was according to central bankers at the Federal Reserve. In 2007, the assets of the largest banks amounted to 43% of the U.S. economy. Thus, the crisis has made the banks bigger and more powerful than ever. Because the government invoked “too big to fail,” meaning that the big banks will be saved because they are very important, the big banks have incentive to make continued and bigger risks, because they will be bailed out in the end. Essentially, it’s an insurance policy for criminal risk-taking behaviour. The former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis stated, “Market participants believe that nothing has changed, that too-big-to-fail is fully intact.” Remember, “market” means the banking cartel (or “super-entity” if you prefer). Thus, they build new bubbles and buy government bonds (sovereign debt), making the global financial system increasingly insecure and at risk of a larger collapse than took place in 2008.[4]

When politicians, economists, and other refer to “financial markets,” they are in actuality referring to the “super-entity” of corporate-financia

    Italian president dissolves parliament
An economist and former European commissioner, Monti was appointed by Napolitano after Berlusconi stepped down under pressure for failing to control Italy's debt and a series of scandals.

Since then, international investors have displayed confidence in the country's finances. Italy's borrowing costs have fallen this year on Monti's efforts to bring down borrowing and the improved sentiment generated by the European Central Bank's conditional scheme to buy bonds of struggling sovereigns.

Blah-blah-blah. You're just another ex-con whining about getting caught by trying to point out others getting away with something. You're like a child. Just because somebody else got away with something in no way deminishes the fact that you got caught and CONVICTED.

well at least I was charged & convicted of
    Racketeering
    Interstate commerce destroying
    Conspiracy &
Organized conspiracy of accepting 40 bucks a year, for being a plumbing inspector for the city of philadelphia. (for accepting a tip) esp,. since a lot more was offered.

and, that no one was even bought in to answer questions for multi-million dollar thefts & frauds for housing frauds
I do give them a lot more credit than you think they deserve to pull it off for almost, now over 2 decades of housing theft & frauds especially since we have heard nothing of the investigation into these matters.
but at least they can do is be truthful.
and no wonder all they can think of now is needing more money, I actually think it is a joke and the taxpayers are going to pay the bill for
    malfeasance & nonfeasance
committed on a federal level. At least we know that they may continue to be paid by the taxpayers unaccountable for the failures that they have incurred to the taxpayers.
It does bring me back to my childhood when kids would ask me
IF I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A FEDERAL CASE OUT OF THIS.
I am still not sure in why some people insist on bringing the plumbing inspectors into all of these kinds of matters, but I can assure you that I had no part of this & if I did there is still no sense in complaining over spilt milk that happened in 2002.
This thread is about banking fraud, please keep it on topic. & no I had nothing to do with banking fraud either, but everyone knew it was occurring. just another tree under the bridge.

maybe if I was told some of what i see now, years ago I might have still been as naive as most of the people that I encounter. but since my life has changed, so has my beliefs in what good of a job they do in protecting the masses of people
in a we the people society

What does this have to do with resignations of high profile officials at banks tho.
not everything has to do with me you know

Instead of tips us plumbing inspectors should have accepted trips to exotic places like you approve of
