I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that the hacktivist group known as Anonymous is already classified as "terrorist" by the american govt. Terrorists are subject to indefinite detention thanks to the NDAA. Seems extreme to me.

Yeah, what I meant is that people will be using the word "hacker" more then "Terrorist" when it comes to what will happen in the future.... Think how 9/11 has put "terrorist" in EVERY person's mouth...

i wish this was really about this poem...

    English Folk Verse (c.1870)

    The Fifth of November

    Remember, remember!
    The fifth of November,
    The Gunpowder treason and plot;
    I know of no reason
    Why the Gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot!
    Guy Fawkes and his companions
    Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
    All up alive.
    Threescore barrels, laid below,
    To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
    A stick and a stake
    For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
    I'll take two,
    The better for me,
    And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
    Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

The Fifth of November - English Folk Verse

Remember Remember the Fifth of November rhyme
"If you're going to tell people the truth, you better make them laugh; otherwise they'll kill you."
    - attributed to both George Bernard Shaw & Oscar Wilde

Is it??? I always thought the Guy Fawkes mask looks utterly moronic, to put it kindly. Then again I feel the same way about Anonymous.

I don't care what mask they are wearing. If they are trying to right the wrongs with government, media, and society- I'm all for it.

Nope. NBC's website got hacked for a bit, and that was it. They're really not doing well with their campaigns lately.

There was a large peaceful protest in London. Paypal, Symantec, Pepsi, The Russian Gov't and some others were confirmed as hacked. I saw the full list on twitter but those are the only ones I remember. Frankly, I don't think Americans have it in them to protest like the Greeks or the Portuguese... it's kindof a shame.
