Default Is it time to call a bread milk eggs alert?

So the early reports suggest we're going to get at least a foot of snow this weekend. Anyone believe we're going to get buried this time? Is it time to panic and loot Acme?

I make my own bread and have powdered milk and eggs so im set.

In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete
Drawn only to be washed away
For the time that I've been given
    I am what I am

I have the Bolarometer (also known as the Stormocenturometer) ready to go. So far I'm hearing at least five inches, depending on whether the storm is going to linger or not. If it does, we may get two feet. The NAM is predicting that, although that's far and away the most extreme.

So for right now, we're at a three out of ten on the Bolarometer.

I love the spinning Bolarises! Will you put up the sirens when it's time to panic?

    Too funny.
God, grant us the Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
    Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

When the forecast is confirmed the sirens will go up. My basic scale reads as follows:

1 Bolaris - Dusting - 2 inches, minimal impact. Hoodrats remain portable. El freezes, expect 30 minutes between trains.
2 Bolarii - 2-4 inches, annoyance. Hoodrats will stay home from school. El no longer functional, SEPTA forgot to get bread and goes home early.
3 Bolarii - 4-6 inches, truest to the Bolaris name. Schools may close, most likely leave early, depending on when the storm hits. All but the hardiest hoodrats remain indoors.
4 Bolarii - 6-8 inches, significant snowfall. All hoodrats remain indoors, xbox live unplayable due to their presence.
5 Bolarii - 8-10 inches. Most schools except colleges remain closed. Streets now safe to walk.
6 Bolarii - 10-12 inches. Major event. All eggs, bread, and milk gone.
7 Bolarii - 12-18 inches. Storm that will be talked about next year, typically assigned a name. The Black History Month Storm or the Pro-Bowl Nor'Easter.
8 Bolarii - 18-24 inches. Massive storm. People will claim it is a blizzard even if no wind. El cars and busses shatter from cold, rendering SEPTA inoperable for a week.
9 Bolarii - 24-36 inches. Storm of the Decade. Community College closes.
10 Bolarii - 36-∞ inches. Storm of the Century. Bolaris ascends into the heavens. Only people on the streets are snowplows and lunch truck operators.

Has Bolaris had some work done? We watched him for the first time in ages a minute ago - prompted by all the talk about him on here.

My wife reckons he had hair plugs. I'm thinking jowl lift.

Today we're at six on the Bolarometer.

Models are coming to a consensus, the worst will be south of Philadelphia, but we're still gonna get rocked. Later tonight I'll confirm my prediction or not.

Bread, milk, eggs and toilet paper. To quote author Donna Andrews, "nature's white sale."

Glad I stopped at Superfresh for a few things yesterday, today and tomorrow will probably be much more crowded.

Ru Roh! Look what Philly.com just posted: An even scarier forecast: ‘Paralyzing’ | Philadelphia Inquirer | 02/04/2010

I think we're going up on the Balarometer.
