Even much of the regional rail system is shut down at this point: "Only lines in service are: West Trenton (R3), Media/Elwyn (R3), Paoli/Thorndale (R5), Norristown (R6) and Airport (R1). The Airport (R1) will operate hourly service."

And ALL bus routes were shut earlier, but that info has been updated: "Bus: Very limited service available on routes 14 17 66 C R expect up to one hour delays."

EDIT: Looks like the other rails are slowly coming back, but most buses still out of service.

Regional Rail: Only lines in service are: Chestnut Hill West (R8), Fox Chase (R8), West Trenton (R3), Media/Elwyn (R3), Paoli/Thorndale (R5), Norristown (R6) and Airport (R1). The Airport (R1) will operate hourly service.

Frist train to Fox Chase: #1822 departing 30th at 10:49am
First train to Chestnut Hill: West #1815 deaprting Market East at 10:35

Bus: Very limited service available on routes 14 17 66 C R expect up to one hour delays.

All other BUS, LUCY and CCT service is suspended due to weather and street conditions.

oh, once she got to that position the WTF expression hit and she REFUSED to move. I had to go drag her out. i just let her out again and she relieved herself on the covered back porch. she learned her lesson i guess!

We did it! Second biggest snowstorm in Philly history! 26.7 inches and counting.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.

All Septa services are now suspended effective 2:00pm until tomorrow morning except the BSL and MFL. No RR, bus, trolley, or Norristown line.

Local Weather Alert for Philadelphia, PA - weather.com

" TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 10 TO 18 INCHES WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER THE NORTHERN EASTERN SHORE OF MARYLAND, NORTHERN DELAWARE AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA. HEAVY SNOW SHOULD OCCUR IN TWO BURSTS ACROSS THE REGION. THE FIRST WILL OCCUR TUESDAY NIGHT WITH FOUR TO EIGHT INCHES LIKELY TO ACCUMULATE BY THE MORNING COMMUTE WEDNESDAY. THE SECOND SHOT WILL BE AN EVEN MORE INTENSE BURST OF HEAVY SNOW WITH THE UPPER AIR DISTURBANCE ITSELF THAT SHOULD OCCUR IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA, MARYLAND AND DELAWARE DURING WEDNESDAY MORNING AND NEW JERSEY AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA DURING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE SNOW WILL END BY MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

WINDS WILL INCREASE AS WEDNESDAY CONTINUES AND WILL CAUSE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW, EVEN MORE THAN WHAT OCCURRED WITH THE WEEKEND SNOW STORM. AT AND NEAR THE ATLANTIC SHORE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE LATER IN THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY AS WINDS INCREASE. "

Yep it's the end of the world as we know it. French toast fixins won't save you. On the bright side expect the birthrate to spike nine months from now.

God, grant us the Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
    Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

Not sure yet. We have at least a foot coming, but there is a slight chance for another two feet. It's an off chance, but it might happen.

Even a foot during morning rushhour will be hell though.

They sounded pretty definite that we are getting at least 18". I ran out to Wegman's at around 2pm and it was a zoo.

Meteorologists and Satan go a long way back. There are deep dark things going on in the basement of the old meteo building on the west end of PSU's campus.

TRUE STORY: I once wanted to go the first floor of the building after my GIS lab and it took me to the roof. Then I pushed to go the the first floor again after peeking out (I didn't want to get stuck on the roof) and it took me to the unlit basement...freaky ****.
