Default help navigating? & is it safe yet?

Hi, we arrive in Philly via Amtrack and from there need to get to Haddonfield NJ

Then, from Haddonfield, NJ to 704 S. 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19147

Then we need to make a trip from Haddonfield to 3601 South Broad Street, the Wells Fargo Center.

    The question!

1 - do I need to rent a car, or will the high speed line pretty much take care of us?
2 - are those neighborhoods I want to ride mass transit at night?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Nothing wrong with the neighborhoods, but I would rent a car. You can get one for pennies, and it will save you so much time. I believe there's an Enterprise right at 30th St Station.

Could you give some more info about the time of day for each leg, and maybe a rough idea of the date (say, next week, mid October, etc.)? My ideas include some walking, which you might not feel like in the middle of winter.

Keep in mind there are toll bridge fees involved with a Rental Car.
Avis is at 20th & Arch and may be cheaper than the rentals at AMTRAK,
I know my friends go there when landing at PHL and it is way cheaper.
There may still be a Hertz 21st Chesnut/Sansom Street
Depending upon your actual need time, it may be best to take public Transport to/from your lodging and rent locally throughout.

Bridge tolls are a few dollars. Take a car like rocknroller says

Not only that but if they are going to Wells Fargo for a game, it's going to cost to park ($20-$30?). Amtrak to the El to PATCO to Haddonfield is a breeze. PATCO to the Sub to the Sprots Complex is a breeze. 8th and Market PATCO stop to 5th and South isn't a bad walk. Picking up the rental, dropping off the rental car, filling it up with gas is a drag in my view but date/time of your trips may make the difference as Lemonfresh stated.

edit to add - Bridge tolls are $5.

    To 5th and Market - $5
    To Wells frago - $5
    To rental return - $5

Granted, not a big expense for an out of town trip but $15 isn't a "few dollars" either.

    Szell is that you?

Something about the OP that reminds me of the Marathon Man.

Areas are safe, cabs, subway and patco should get you around nicely until you return to Argentina with all those diamonds.

TP bridge is $2 ONE way.. So that's $2 not $15.

Who cares about the tolls. The additional cost of a rental is in the gas, not the tolls.

The Port Authority bridges are $5.00. Are you suggesting that the person going from CC to Haddonfield, drive all the way up to the Tacony Bridge and then go all the way back down as opposed to just hopping across the Ben?

No, I was pointing out that not all the bridges are $5. And they have to cross once for a total (at worst) of $5.
