Default Philly drivers worst among big cities... again.

Philly drivers worst among big cities ... again

I wonder if they count ATVs and dirt bikes?

If they aren't counting boston then it simply isn't an adequate survey.

ATVs and dirt bikes don't have insurance Gladys.

Philly drivers are pretty sh!tty. Turn signals are anathema to them - if you use them your penis shrinks (or vagina loosens).

I feel like vagina loosening is sign of increased coolness from all the sweet dudes you've laid. so maybe your boobs shrink to reflect your new status as a huge loser for not cutting someone off.

... Or AllState has the worst Philly drivers signing up with them. I'm thinking about switching.

"The study, which focused on city limits, not metro areas that might include suburbs, was based on the 10 million policies All-State writes nationwide."

In case anyone missed that bit. Its quite possible their only policy holder in Siuox falls is one or two old ladies.

    agreed about all state.
Interesting observation about dayman, I noticed the same thing in ny when I started driving. I feel like driving here as gotten worse as the area has gotten more congested (and I wouldn't be surprised to find aggression driving linked to traffic). I also wonder if the city would still be at the top of the list if the blvd were a separated grade highway. I think houston took fattest away from us so now we're just old and fat, not even the oldest or the fattest, just the dirtiest, ugliest, and worst drivers.

Throw the t-shirt out the window when you get a Crown Fried Chicken grease stain on it while taking up two lanes on 2nd Street.

Naturally the Roosevelt Boulevard was a leading factor in this choice. Its a friggin drag-strip.

Well that settles it...Boston is indeed a puny little tiny town compared to a big city such as Philadelphia.

Speaking as a (despised) Boston transplant I have to point out that a few viewings of daily traffic reports would clearly show less accidents, possibly 1-2 per morning/afternoon rush as opposed to the 5 + in Philly. So yes, we're Mass holes but better drivers. Go Sox.

This is the Idiocracy effect. There are large, hard objects weighing tons traveling at very high speeds right past you, and you don't look before entering their paths?

Not everyone has the ability to operate something as dangerous as a motor vehicle.
When surburbanites disclose their irrational fears of the city, I ask them how many people they know who've died in auto accidents coming into the city.
    Everybody knows at least one.
Then I tell them the number of people I know who've been killed during my 9 years in Philadelphia.
    Zero.

I agree, it is worse then ever, The main problem is enforcement of the laws & lack of drivers license. It's more important to have a "GREEN" city then a safe one.

    Default drivers

Don't know about the worst in the US, but the worst drivers I've encountered anywhere were in Montreal. Driving in the Montreal area makes driving through the NYC area seem like gliding through paradise...
