Default Need a doo-whoop wood- burning trash can

We are shopping for a high gauge metal trash an to burn tree limbs for potash. We recall very heavy gauge cans with 3" holes for air. We've been usung up old metal trash cans with rusted out bottoms, but standard gauge metal cans last about 4-7 burns.

Have you seen such a supplier? Big box & hardware store catalogues do not list them, an 55-gallon drums are hard to come by. Thanks!!!!

I wonder if you can get one of those 55 gallon steel drums at William H Cooper and Sons Inc. 3900 G st. in Philadelphia, 215-425-1922. They used to be at 320 Brown st. in Northern Liberties.

The intent is to burn off yard waste wood from a 1 acre wooded lot, and then some neighbors wood as well. Ashes are used on numerous compost piles, and neighbors have other uses for the ash. There is an Open Air Burning ordinance, which a good can would comply with. But simple trash cans cannot take repeated burn cycles. 55-gallon drums tend to have residual chemicals, making neighbors shy away from.
