    Hm

    Liberty Bell?

I don't know, I like cheesesteaks, so though overrated, I have a tough time saying they are most overrated. That is, if we are using a continuum to determine differential between actual values and perceived values as opposed to another, lamer method, such as some kind of weighting score based on population and degree.

Those damn pretzels, at least insofar as their use as an icon to represent the city in marketing materials and such.

Rocky. Climbing the "Rocky Steps". Standing next to the Rocky statue. Doing the Rocky Champion pose.

The city's connection to the Revolution and early history of the U.S., and cheesesteaks.

In overratedness, nothing else comes even close.

    RE: Roast Pork
I'm going to be boring and say John's (when its open) followed by Tony Luke's.

Always with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. When friends or family are in town and doing the historic sites, I tell them to go to Campo's in Old City for a rough equivalent.

You know what is sort of interesting? I am sitting here trying to think what I would pick as "most overrated" and I am having a heck of a time doing it. Being someone that didn't grow up here and also sees the city through the eyes of family members that visit off and on every couple years, a variety of the stuff mentioned is stuff they love.

I am guessing you could categorize the answers via point of view of lifers, transplants and tourists.

Heck, I would have a lot more answers for a "most under rated" thread.
