Holiday Songs which we ruined by a remake

New week, new list to lighten up the holidaz! Has anyone destroyed White Christmas, Rudolph etc?

From memory or just the morning's play list, who would you include in a list of Holiday Songs whose remake was a near to actual disaster.

On the flip side, I can think of a few who did very well keeping to the original, such as Madonna's remake of Ertha Kitt's Santa Baby.

I am SO lucky to have a teen boy-who hates today's pop music- so I have been spared the beiber....meh.

My son, however, actually bears a bit more than a passing resemblance to the beiber....and yes, he hates the beiber with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

When my son decided to let his hair grow (about the time Justin beiber had that silly long haircut) all I had to do is say in front of one of his female classmates 'You need to get your hair cut' and when his friend said 'oh, no! Don't! You look JUST like Justin Beiber!' he got his hair cut THE NEXT DAY. HA!

Oh, and while I did like Madonna's earlier work, I don't think she did 'Santa Baby' justice. Eartha Kitt's(?sp) rendition of it kicks ass, Monroe? Kinda sorta. Madonna? No.

Thinking about this....now, was the original song Eartha kitt's? I honestly don't know. I am really stupid about that stuff...

To my own surprise, between Sirius and _OGL, I am not saturated. In fact, there are commercials which mimick the old favorites, changing the words, and are just plain funny.

Santa Baby - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That said, I think I have heard 4 versions of Santa Baby, when compared to Taylor Swift, Madonna did Eartha justice.

NEW- Who the heck are the Whirling Dervish, who did a remake of The Grinch Song. They dropped about 1/2 of the lyrics. I don't care what a website has as their lyrics. Boo Hiss & Bah....
