A minor nit to pick...they are expanding, not moving uptown. When reading your headline, I expected to see in the article that they were leaving S. Philadelphia and moving all operations.

Being that it's a block from my place, is this bakery good?
They're moving to Germantown?![]()
Can we just change this thread topic to Philly's best cannolis?
My number one is Termini Bros, but I haven't tried Potito's. How does it compare to Termini?
The city's other standard bearer, Isgro's does not measure up, IMHO. For a place known for their cannolis and whose website is bestcannoli.com, it's a travesty that they aren't filled to order. The three times I've been there, they've had their cannolis pre-filled, which is an unforgivable sin. Isgro's other pastries though are top notch. Does Potito's pre-fill?
They are moving to 1317 Walnut St in the space fomerly known as Naked Chocolate and Philly Chocolate, so it's not Germantown. What products did you like from the bakery?
I been up in my airy. Not too many guitoes.
it's moving to south st I think. I heard it wasn't as good as naked chocolate which was the only thing that seemed to do well at that location (they failed after they opened new locations elsewhere). before naked chocolate it was bonte's and before that a coffee shop that served crepes. of them all I think NC made it the longest.

I thought Bonte was next door at 1315 before it became a failed Froyo place called Tutti Frutti but I could be wrong. Either way lots of places haven't lasted long in that area. Bonte couldn't cook as many things there as in their other places(all soon to be closing I think) and the Fryo place was one of 6 or 7 in a 2 block radius.
yes, that's right. crepes/bonte/tutti frutti
shirt store/nc/pc (don't remember if anything came in between the shirt store and naked chocolate). all in same building, same landlord, and at one time, it was all the same retail space until they carved it in two. if I'm not mistaken, the old bonte space can't have a proper kitchen because of ventilation issues.
