    Best pizza I've ever had in Philly is from Stella (outside philly Pepe's in New Haven, CT)

    But a few weeks ago a friend (french guy) took some coworkers (italians, here for a business meeting) to Nomad Pizza, and all 3 agreed it was excellent. I haven't tried it yet, is it that good?

    I think that the tomato pie at Pepe's is unbelievably good. I generally loathe pizza, but I went to Pepe's both Friday and Saturday night last month. The crust is good all by itself.

    I'm looking forward to trying out Nomad. Why the odd name?

Reading Body, Milwaukee Tool, Philadelphia Gear, Germantown Academy, and Boston College should all surrender their names, as they have all abandoned their namesake hometowns. I knew someone growing up who was called "Meatball" because he was so shaped. Then he really thinned out, and his moniker was no longer appropriate. Then people started calling him "Sauce". It made sense to me. May I suggest "Settler" for the geographically fixed location of Nomad? Perhaps "Homestead"?

    I tried it first at the truck even though the sign said, fresh, organic, locally grown - things that don't normally interest me but it was something different so I have it a try. The fresh mozzarella is the best and its cooked in a wood stove so it cooks in just a few minutes. I started going to the truck every Wednesday(but it stopped in October ) I took my husband and son to the restaurant and they loved it too - though not as much as me.

    They also show movies on select nights. I am going to try to go te day they show A Christmas Story. If you like Nutella, they have a dessert pizza that you'll enjoy.
