It's great but every place I've been to over the past few weeks has been ridiculously crowded. Anybody have a recommendation for a place that tends to have a lighter crowd?

What do you like about Sips? Just go on a different day when the happy hour deals are basically the same and the places are way less crowded, or wait until the crowds thin out around 7.
Most of the happy hour deals are slightly better, plus they are more consistent at all the bars ($3 beers, $4 wine).
Not to mention parking is free on Wednesdays, which makes it much more convenient to attend sips than any other happy hour for those of us who have a commute.
I don't wait for sips, happy hour at Farmacia is half off everything. Top shelf scotch for $11, craft beers for $2.75. Cocktails for $5.

You wanna know who's great? The Irish.
The concept of an American style happy hour was completely foreign to the Irish until the late 90's, then it got so out of hand that they literally had to ban happy hours nationwide in 2003 because of the chaos. You can no longer legally sell alcoholic beverages for a lower price at certain hours of the day in Ireland. What a country and just a spectacular tribe of people. If you haven't been there, you're wasting your life.
