i'll definitely try them in my old fashioned's ala Village Whiskey

I wouldn't. They're quite medicinal and don't go that well with whiskey in my opinion. There was a reason all three cocktails at the event used white spirits--vodka, gin, & white dog.

Luckily they're inexpensive and fun to play around with.
