Default Best Happy Hour Food Specials

We tried to go to The Corner for happy hour the other day, but were informed that happy hour was cancelled due to Restaurant Week.

So...we headed down the street to Sampan. Found that not only was happy hour on, but it was a really good one, too. We were able to enjoy several beers and wines for $4 each, and many different, delicious small plates for $2 and $4 each--totaling about $60 for the two of us. And we were both pretty stuffed when we left.

It was the same price as RW, but with drinks. Plus, the small plates were so tasty that we are now planning on going for dinner...after RW is over.

What other places offer great food specials for happy hour? Not really looking for 1/2 price wings or nachos, unless they are fabulous, somehow.

Corner Bar, right next to Sampan has 1/2 price apps and the food is very good.

Also, Alfa has a nice happy hour menu.

DrinkPhilly keeps tabs on a pretty good list of happy hours and associated food/drink pricing - Drink Philly - The Best Happy Hours, Drinks & Bars in Philadelphia

One that they don't track, and one that my wife and I particularly enjoy is at Devon Seafood Grill in Rittenhouse Sq. One Tues, Weds, and Thurs during happy hour an entire lobster dinner is market-cost, the last time we were there it was $8. To boot they have $.75 oysters, the cheapest in the city for shucked oysters I believe.

The first line in the original post is that they went to the Corner bar for happy hour, but it is closed at that time now due to Rest. Week...

Can't beat buck-a-shuck. Oyster House and Stateside do it, as to other places I can't think of right now.

I definitely want to try The Corner again, we'll just have to go back at a later date. The lobster at Devon Seafood Grill sounds very intriguing.

I'm not really into oysters right now, for some reason. There have been times when I've loved them...not sure why they haven't sounded good lately. SO likes them though. It would be cool if Oyster House also offered a few of their small plates for, say, 1/2 price. Have they gotten more expensive, or is it just that I've gotten poorer?
