    Default Bloody Mary.

I don't know why, but I really want one. I had one back in 03 or 04 and haven't had one since.

Looking for a place where they make really good ones. Anywhere from Warrington to NE Philly. Not looking for a place in the city. I've no intention on heading back to the city for a very long time!

If you have an opportunity to be out in Manyunk, there's a place -- I think it's called the Manyunk Tavern --- makes a damn fine Bloody Mary.
We went out there for the Ice Sculpting Festival in March/April (?) and stopped in the Manyunk Tavern. My bf loves Bloody Mary's-I don't. His drink was very tasty ( I tried it) and came with 3 giant olives and a big celery stick. It was like a meal!! He had 2

Thank you! I like the idea with the olives! I just might end up making it myself, as I am coming across some really good recipes online!

I think making that at home is a great idea; I make them at home all the time using Absolut Peppar vodda for extra spice, sometimes with clamato juice instead of plain tomato juice, and sometimes I add a pinch of celery salt. I also prefer fresh lemon wedges over limes. But in general, they are pretty easy to make at home with the following ingredients: tomato juice, vodka, worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, cracked black pepper. good luck!

Thanks! I googled Blood Mary recipe and it's amazing how many variations are out there. The recipe above is the basic one and probably one I will do first. Some also include celery salt. Ina Garten from the Barefoot Contessa has a really cool recipe where she blends celery with horseradish, s&p, tobasco and onions. Some reviews said it was too thick, but I think I'd enjoy it thicker! When I get around to making one, I'll let ya know how it comes out!!

Found a mix while in the Warrington Target yesterday. Mr. & Mrs. T, bold & spicy, it was good. Used Skyy Vodka. The mix was $2.39. I couldn't pass it up.

I personally find them disgusting, but if you go to National Mechanics on the weekend, they have a Bloody Mary bar w/ over 50 fixins. Some of my Bloody Mary-lovin' friends swear by it.

Thanks for the info! Just read a few reviews on yelp! They have bacon infused vodka -- I think I am in love!

They're not for everyone. That's what's so great about this world we live in.
