Wedding venue in NJ or Philly

Hi everyone,

My fiancee and I are getting married! We are looking for a venue with personality that won't break the bank. We want to spend between 4000-6000 on the venue, food, alcohol, etc. I would really like a restaurant but my fiancee thinks that a catering hall would be cheaper. I would like a nice place, but lots of food and an open bar is more important to us.

Any suggestions?

Not sure on price, but you can rent upstairs of DiBrunos, have them cater the food and bring your own booze. The key for anything like this is to find a place that will let you supply your own booze. Open bar cost me more than per head for facilty and food at a local restaurant.

Don't know if this is too "out there" for you two but I've always thought the Magic Gardens would make an excellent wedding venue.

Last year I went to a beautiful wedding/reception at the Colonial Dames Headquarters. Ceremony was outdoors on a nice lawn, reception was inside (cocktail reception on 1st floor, followed by dinner/dancing upstairs in ballroom). The place has a fantastic old Philadelphia style. Not sure about price. I believe they brought in an outside caterer...

We got married at Valley Green a little over two years ago.

It was personal, beautifully decorated and with great service.

The price was within your range.

They have many weddings there and have their act together when it comes to setting it up and making sure things run smoothly.

I'd recommend them to any friends of mine without hesitation.

I heard that there are so many Cabana Clubs near beach in New Jersey, which provide really good wedding services and catering facilities own their own. Which one did you prefer then?*
