Default Dinner for 20+ in Center City

Looking a place for my out of town family to eat on a Saturday night in center city. There will be at least 20 plus a handful of kids. First thought was Maggiano's - but I'd prefer something less big chain restaurant if I could. No preference on the type of food.

depends on how much you are willing to spend - there are lots of options out there.

I've recommended them before - Spasso Italian on Front Street in Old City. My family has had multiple events there through the years (showers, reunions, holidays, rehearsal dinners), ranging from groups of 10 to 80. Every time they've been fabulous. You can get family style and they are very willing to customize menus.

We've got no relation to the place, just had many good experiences so we keep going back.

Giorgio's on Pine has a room that can easily accommodate you if it isn't too late. The food is excellent and it's BYO.

Amis on 13th between Pine and Lombard.

    Chick's at 7th & Kater.

LaFourno on the 600 block of South St.--they have a second floor that should handle everyone.

Estia, and order a huge oven baked fish for the whole table. It's unbelievable! Non fish eaters can also order whatever from the menu. They handle kids well also and large rooms for your family only.
