    Default Name This Restaurant!

Ok, so my daughter's friend's family took her bowling at Lucky Strike, and then they went to lunch at a restaurant she keeps raving about, but has no idea which restaurant it is. I'd simply ask her friend's parents, but they are out of town on spring break.

So...it's a 7 minute walk (I imagine a slow one) from Lucky Strike in an unknown direction. My daughter thinks that it's a French restaurant--they had great escargot, burgers (bun was perfectly firm and crisp without being too crunchy), and fries. The walls were cream colored and the furniture was heavy and wood. She said that it seemed "casual upscale". The building visible from their window was large, gray, and had engravings of "naked ladies". Keep in mind that the details come from a 13 year old girl...

    Thanks!

I showed her the photos from the website and it's not that one. She said that it's more "classy and refreshing" looking. Whatever that means.

Welcome to Philadelphia. Here's how you can help us make our great city even better:

    * Write to your elected officials
    * Report suspicious activity to the police department
    * Is there an abandoned/nuisance property in your neighborhood? See if it is tax delinquent. If so, maybe you can force it to go to sheriff's sale.

hmm, naked ladies must be IN caribou. the naked ladies have me stumped, I'd say vintage (good burger and fries, could be taken for french) or la boheme but I don't think eiher is across from a grey building with naked ladies.

What about Zinc? It has really good French food. Not sure about the naked ladies, and the building is blue, but it's a 7 minute walk away.

Well, the kid has a stomach bug (not from the mystery restaurant) and I can't show her any more photos, or ask her any food related questions until she stops with the puking. She's lying on the couch with a bucket in front of the TV watching the Travel Channel, and I couldn't change the channel quickly enough before Andrew Zimmern's show came on--so she spewed chunks. Keep the suggestions coming, and I'll do an image search when she's better and hopefully solve the mystery.

You should go on google streetview and just walk around until she recognizes something.

I actually tried that and it just takes so long that one loses interest and not every street in that vicinity is available on Streetview.

Aren't there some French-style bistros down by Monk's way?
