And one old reason not to... it's still Fishtown.

Nice reasons, although after reading this I would have to guess that the neighborhood consists entirely of two blocks of Frankford Avenue.

Also, which one is the Cold Storage building again?

Awesome, hadn't heard of #2. Where is this project from the Lift/Prohibition folks going?

Jesus Christ when are you scumbags going to quit using this as your free advertising headquarters?!

For those who haven't see it, the somersault team will take something they see on Philadelphia speaks-like a murder, then blog, then put link on here so that they can capitalize on death. It is a common advertising tactic being done by Remaxx associates.

@loveisnoise, noticed that to. wonder if they do pay for advertising for banner ads here. i guess I'm guilty of shameless promotion as well tho.

They actually tried to deny that it was a marketing tactic, until I pointed out that I once worked a graphic design job that put together the very remax advertising playbook they are working from.

I think they might be referring to the old Kensington Brewery-- the 5 story vacant building near Frankford Hall-- also within that same two blocks.

I also love their gross inaccuracies. Acropolis was not sold-it closed due to retirement and the owners are leasing it to new tenants.

"Here's a look at some of the newer businesses and shops to open (and a few on the way!) in Fishtown, which many are likening to the Meatpacking District of NYC."
Gee-funny that the only mention I see on all of the inner webs comparing Fishtown to the meat packing district is???? You got it-several google hits for the somers' crappy blog. Gotta love how realtors bull****. I wouldn't be surprised if they have property for sale or lease somewhere around here since they were far too blind to mention anything other than a block of Fishtown.

There are no more reasons to live in Fishtown.

This article alone might bring up Fishtown values 1 percent . And will cause a hysteria for buyers to buy any property with a for sale sign : )

Now is a great time to buy.

Home ownership makes your children smarter.

The real estate market will slow down in November because of the election so act now!

Apparently there are enough fools around willing to part with their cash to enable Loco Pez to charge $5.50 for pint of Kenzinger. The humanity!

I'm not following. Wouldn't highlighting murders make people less interested in an area?
