    The below is a depiction of the homicide stats in the City. The numbers are up every year over the last couple of years going back to 2009. In the chart, the City compares to 2007.

    I'm with the somersteam. The mayor, the political establishment, the posters on this board are too nonchalant about the crime situation. Other cities got where they are by being pushy and demanding, not by being complacent. Why are we so quick to accept the lousy status quo?

    Good point Sharkfood. The nonchalant is perhaps being numb to it. Just yesterday another homicide victim was found at 13th and Locust. We are averaging well over one homicide a day. I really think the Mayor and folks in City Council need to implement a "Safety First" policy.
