The point wasn't that N. Libs blows because he didn't finish the job, it was that he had the resources to finish it but appeared to leap over to North Broad before doing so. I cited Ortlieb's and the Front & Girard property as examples of properties that had the potential to be redeveloped. Whatever the case, the comparison with Blumenfeld is off the mark because at least Blumenfeld has a track record for restoration, whereas Blatstein in N. Libs (excepting one or two mills) has emphasized new construction over preservation.

The point is the neighborhood blows way less because he already sunk more money into it than most of us will ever have. Are there obvious, gaping holes left? Absolutely, but there used to be way more. This isn't Central Planning where you build stuff because all at once because you want it. Some day, and given the insane prices in that neighborhood, I doubt it will take long, the remaining holes will be filled.
