My problem with the unions is that they want 100% of everything, but soon they'll have 100% of nothing. Thanks for scaring good developments and jobs away.
Agreed! I also have a problem with the costs that are incurred when employing unions. In my field (programming), those of us with degrees are paid the same as those without degrees. Those with degrees have a better chance of advancing, but up to a certain point we're paid the same. In that vein, employers can require someone has a degree or it isn't necessary. Unions could be considered similar to those with degrees, right. Avoid giggling about a union member with a higher education.

inorite. All union members are the same and they're all dumb. Even those ones with the PhDs.

Even if they were to turn left onto Wood from 11th, the union thugs have that corner covered as well. I saw a bunch of the sitting on Strubel's stoop.
That's why they're putting a team at 13th and Wood just about every day. Once they had one at 12th and Noble, too, which is another easy place to swing around. And always people on 11th. The sheriff's observer can't see them in these locations and calls to the police don't get them cleared. This is the new problem.

Many yellow cards for the unions. Many delay of game penalties for the unions. They also received a flagrant foul. They were offsides and used illegal formations repeatedly. They are poorly coached. Their players lack skill and concentration. At the press conference, the unions blamed the officials and the other team for playing dirty. They don't watch game tape and arrive late to the arena and leave early. They are out of shape and not well conditioned. A total and utter colossal failure.

Yep folks, the dynasty is beginning to fall.

    Default Sh!t hit the fan

Big incident. Maybe 100 guys or so in the neighborhood right now. Must be some sort of delivery. Guys at almost every corner: 12th & Callowhill, Noble, Hamilton, as well as the site, and at 13th and Wood.

Ambulance at 11th and Wood taking a union guy away with a giant swarm around him. They say he got hit by one of the workers' truck while "crossing the street." Got lots of pictures and videos. On the way home, one of the guys asked me about the pictures I was taking. He was keeping lookout at 12th and Noble.

I'm sure if all the good developments and jobs got scared into the suburbs, they would have no objections whatsoever. That might even be a goal of theirs.

I hope his insurance plan covers ambulance rides, because they aren't cheap.

Indeed, they were tipped off to a delivery. There is a concrete truck with a flat tire at the gas station at 12th and Wood. Everything just cleared out. I don't know if it is connected with the truck, but a nail strip was laid down as well.

Here's the full story: There were 2 dumptrucks with cement supplies arriving, as well as a pickup truck with trailer that had 2 cement movers. The union guys were blocking Wood for quite a while ahead of this with an SUV parked in the middle of the street. They pulled another vehicle up to it, popped the hoods, and put jumper cables out to make it look like they were doing something legitimate - nice trick. Eventually, that cleared out and the pickup truck tried to drive down Wood. A bunch of union guys got in front of it and were milling about as the truck moved down the street slowly. Then, one of the guys flopped down and claimed to be hit. This created a big stir. Everyone put on a big act to honor their fallen brother, cops and an ambulance had to come, all of which allowed them to occupy the street for a very long time. Even though cops were right there, the crowd never did clear out of the street, even after the ambulance left. They eventually forced the pickup to back out and abandon. They similarly ran off the dumptrucks; the one with a flat tire at the gas station was one of them.

Again, police were all over the place. There is no way they were unaware of the delivery being blocked. Blatant corruption. Welcome to Philadelphia.

Start writing down badge numbers and let's get a posse together to file complaints against the police officers involved. It probably won't get anything done, but it's better than doing nothing.

Edit: Apparently the IAB is required to call or write you about your complaint within 10 days. Maybe we can annoy them into doing something.

Apparently not interested, but not from lack of trying by several people contacting several outlets.

I think Post probably has not put up new videos because 1) they were advised by law enforcement not to, and 2) public opinion is squarely on their side, which was probably the purpose of the posting them to begin with

how do you know that is true? why would law enforcement advise this and why would post heed advice from such a clearly biased institution?

    did you make this up?

hey, beer is good and jelly roll, where are you? your brethrens' vandalism and flopping antics require some good yarn-spinning rationalization from their two remaining supporters among the non-political class.
