Default Noise complaint: Spring Garden at 22nd.

Thoughts on reasonable noise levels in Fairmount? Ever since the good weather some people several yards over have been having gatherings in their yard with loud music and/or yelling, sometimes until 4am. Is there a number to call? Ideas on what time is too late and how loud is too loud? Thanks.

Phila.Gov | Public Health and 911. The statute tells you some number of decibels above ambient. I'm sure they'll give you some guidance.

It's pretty impossible for us to know if the levels are reasonable or not. Hope that helps.

Thanks. It's loud like, I can feel the bass in my house. And I'm not even next door. Thank you for sharing the link.

the only thing to do is call 911 or if you know who owns the building contact them yourself.

On our block I handle the loud noise in a simple fashion.

I hit the alarm button on my car keys and let the alarm go off until the inconsiderate a**holes go inside.

Does anyone else think having to call 911 for a noise complaint is absurd? I ran into this a few times where I just said **** it, because I didn't want to waste the 911 operator's time. I even called my precinct directly and they told me to call 911.

It seems like the only option for non-emergency solutions in this city is to use emergency services. You can't get police to do anything without calling 911. You also can't get urgent medical care, and instead are told to use the ER. I don't understand this stuff. How is there not one urgent care facility in the entirety of center city?
