Heh... maybe there's a good reason why the actual entrance to the Barnes is *not* on the Parkway after all...

When the spotlight in on Philadelphia, it behooves us to look our best. The stadium complex and West Park can't hold a candle to the BFP. Good transportation. Best Philly vistas. Proven concert venue. There is no mistaking it for anywhere else.

The cloest to this event that is also done in a park area of a city that acts like the Parkway is Lollapalooza, here is their layout:
As you can see, it similar to our with roads and such going through the area. They also have 160,000 (paid)people over a three day period. So it works area wise...IT also gives us an idea of what else wil lbe there(As they need food and other activities for 100K people.

So what's the biggest worry about this thing?
Traffic?
Public Drunkeness?
Gang Bangers?
Pearl Jam and AfroJack collaboration of Rockin in the Free World?
For me, expecting some group of idiots will get out of hand and yet again give our city a black eye. Oh, that and being prisoners for the weekend as we won't be able to move our car and expect to park when we return.
Ass holes.
So I have to attend a wedding at the Valley Green Inn Sunday afternoon/evening. Is it worth driving and having to try to hunt for parking when I return, or should I beg someone to drive me?
Why does this PRIVATE event have to interfere with the lives of residents in the surrounding community? I'm not sure, but that's what you signed up for when you decided to move in close proximity with the Art Museum. "YOU KNEW WHEN YOU MOVED IN THAT THERE WOULD BE EVENTS..."; except that this is an exclusive event. I'm not worried - I'm sure when AVI comes out, the tax structure will take these "inconveniences" into account and reflect any hardships placed on the community in a just manner. After all, who WOULDN'T want to help Jay-Z, Pearl Jam and Skrillex make a paycheck? It makes so much sense...

Give me a free ticket.
NBC10 is giving away free tickets on their facebook...

I don't want a ticket. Why should anybody have to be put out in order to have the show? There are plenty of venues in Philly that can accommodate the concert; why not there? I understand the holidays and special events, but those are available to everybody.
I was going to suggest the same thing, except if its a good wedding they wouldn't want to bike home drunk, and if it's a bad wedding they will need an excuse like " I have to walk home, so I'd better start now before it gets dark out".
This event has LAME written all over it.
