Anyone have any reaction to the new spot? It seems much smaller and less inviting to me, and the menu seems to have been drastically reduced.

Booooooooooooooooooo!
The new location lacks a little quirky coolness the other one has.
But I am sure it will improve. And it still sells coffee.
I hope that something moves into the old location soon.
Unless service has improved dramatically in the new space (and they've somehow instituted a "no hipster" policy), I'll walk the extra two blocks to get some of Jean Luc's crepes.
I can't believe the difference! Sure there's no exposed brick, dim nooks or beautiful 100 year old beams running across the ceiling but it doesn't smell like bacon, I can actually see what I'm trying to read and the annoying customers seem to not be coming around. not to mention i only recognize one person from the old place (which is to say they seem to have fired everybody and hired actual human beings who know how to actually serve you with a smile) and seriously, I got a breakfast sandwich yestarday (saturday) at 11:30am in 6 minutes and the house was packed!!! And as far as them limiting their menu the only thing I see they took off is the reuban which sucked ... how can you have a vegan reuban? it sucked, i'm glad they took it off the menu. but their pastry case looks soooo good. seriously, I don't understand why people are loving to hate mugshots. they used to frustrate me but this whole last year they have made so many changes. ....eww, sorry, i hate people who ramble on threads and here i go.
oh and BBQ king, I used to hang out at Jacks and a couple of the waitresses were telling me the landlord ran them out so he could put in a starbucks so ...for all you that miss the old place you'll have a nice starbucks to visit now where Mugshots once was.
idslife....sorry to see you join this message board to spread false and libelous information. It will not be a Starbucks.....and I do not believe Jack ran anyone out of anything.
Food is way overpriced compared to other nearby coffee shops...they could get away with it when they were right across from Eastern State Pen., but not now. Also the art up right now reminds me of this, haha:

Don't get your hopes up. Figured I'd lift my boycott of their crappy service and see if things changed in the new place. I stood for almost 5 minutes, with no one else in line, waiting for who I suppose was the manager to make my coffee while he instructed someone else about what they should be doing when it is so slow. I suggested to him maybe they should serve the customers when they are slow and they won't be so slow. He didn't get it.
