Tree Recycling, this Sunday (January 8) from 1 PM to 4 PM.

Don't forget, the giant jaws of the wood chipper are coming to the corner of 22nd and Brown (Playpen) this Sunday, January 8 from 1-4pm.

Bring your Christmas trees (without those sparkling decorations) and your children, and watch the jaws of the chipper turn them into mulch..the trees, that is, NOT your children.

The suggested donation is $5 per tree. A portion of the funds pay for the time of the workmen staffing the chipper, and the rest goes towards greening efforts in the neighborhood.

Looks like some poeple in the hood decided to skip the $5 donation. During my morning walk to the store this morning I noticed at least 20 trees dumped around the prison.
