Go Kart Racing and more at NJ Motor Sports Park

Beyond myself, Malloy and a spattering of posters here and there, I'm not sure who else is into automobiles and racing, but I figured I'd post this up in hopes other people become interested.

I was just looking at the NJMP website and Season Tickets are only $149/person this year. I remember when they first opened, they may've been 2x that if not more. Either way, it's a great venue offering something completely different to do in this region (including driving on the track).

Some of the highlights are the Devil In The Dark Series--a 12 hour endurance race in the night--the Rolex Cup Series, featuring some of the best racecar drivers in the country (and some truly badass cars), a Blue Angels Airshow and of course, lots of Motorcycle racing, including superbikes.

It's only 45-60 minutes away from the city in Millville, NJ, and I'd imagine it's only about 20-30 minutes from the Shore...just off of Route 55. It's not oval-track, NASCAR-style racing; it's everything from daily-drivers to exotics to purebred racecars on two challenging and fast tracks (10-14 turns, 1.9 to 2.25 miles and elevation changes on both).

The karting there is a little more intense than your typical go kart we all grew up with, and on tracks ranging from a half-mile to over a mile in length. There's timing, scoring and full-on tournament style racing.

The races are always great atmospheres as well. It's outdoors during the best time of the year (there's even shade) and the people are always super friendly. It just seems like no one ever travels from Philly. Hopefully I get to meet some more.

*I hope this doesn't count as spamming the board. I have absolutely no afiliation with NJMP other than wanting them to succeed and stick around.

....aaaaaaaaaaaand I was one of the original people who paid >2x what they're asking now, so I'm excited and hoping to see some new blood out there this season.

love this track. I lapped my car around it many times 2 summers ago.. It was a blast..

I'm looking forward to getting out there a couple of times this year, definitely at least once if only for the karting.

Its a wonderful track, JBL and malloy.. You will love it.. I am heading back this summer for a Ford event again

Nice. I've been to the track a bunch of times since it's opened (not as much last year though). This year will be the first time I actually get to put some seat time in, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.
