Default Bandit sign article on Newsworks

    Newsworks Article

Is it just me or does this article spin the idiotic Curtis Jones legislation the wrong way? There are no critical questions asked - it reads like a press release from the councilman's office.

It spins the legislation as being "progressive". It's a farce. The signs are blight and they heavily prey on financially stressed people and the naive. They're predatory.

Not to mention the fact that there's no enforcement now - why would anyone think enforcement would start once this silly program is put into place? It would only serve to muddy the waters between what is legal and illegal, and I bet the number of signs that are "legal" wouldn't approach 5%.

Just pulled down one of the most evil kind of bandit signs - a job scam bandit sign! Yeah, right! Legitimate employers advertise via bandit signs! This one promised some unsuspecting job seeker up to $80K in salary! C'mon! We're in the middle of an economic depression and some employer is getting so few applicants he has to resort to posting bandit signs for an $80K position? It's most likely some worthless MLM or pyramid scheme! I hate these a-holes who waste the precious time and dwindling resources of unemployed individuals to advance their evil greedy scams!
