Default Peco employee lies - on film

Smart meters ...... are way too smart ... people need to research a bit

This is a Peco employee , ringing my bell at 9:00 a.m. If you know me I am cranky at this hour of the morning already and I am not particularly happy being lied to ever.

You have the right to refuse. It is a monitoring device with a computer that speaks to a "mother " computer via radio.

    It may cause health problems
    It has caused fires
It will not save you money , it's a "meter " meters cannot save you money , most have reported an increase in bills , in fact the meter uses electricity that you are paying for.
It is violates my right to privacy , the information collected can and will be out sourced sold and possibly used against you
It is a computer , the entire grid will become hackable and susceptible to crashes - Massive black outs
Why the big sudden push , to control our power remotely ?
How are you to gain from this invasion of privacy and possible health and property risk ?
What do you have to loose ?

You have a Google use it and watch this , it's a least a giggle

Rule 1: Don't be an idiot and post this in a thousand places.
Rule 2: How is a smart meter harmful? Are you one of those electronic waves give me cancer morons?

its a topic that is relevant to each and every neighborhood , so why not post it ?
How do you feel about all of North America , Europe and Great Britain being shut down at the flip of a switch ? You are aware of how many countries are running smart meters correct ?
You are aware of how they function ?
Why is the entire United States switching over in one foul swoop ?
How do you know they are not harmful ? There is evidence that states otherwise, and thats why "all the morons " across the country are against having them. The other half of the morons enjoy their rights and freedom.
How does a meter save money ?
Actually , by definition the smart meter is not even a meter , it's a monitor , radio and computer all in one but you as a polite well read genius are aware of this
It's not actually a meter , it's a computer boy genius , we all know what that means ?
Did you read the same paper the Harvard Grad that answers the phone that tells you its safe ?
Is your Google as broken as your manners Dayman or do you just normally what ever they pile on your spoon ?

I didn't know I had my own Google.

The only people against them are the lunatic fringe, which I am sure you're a card carrying member of. Did you also know that there isn't a space between a word and punctuation? Unless you think you're special or something, because no one else writes like that and no school ever taught you to do that.

While I'm on a grammarian roll, in your first post you don't seem to realize that the ellipse (...) only has 3 periods. If you use more, you're a moron. If you use two, you're brain dead. Please be consistent with your capitalization of the acronym PECO. It's not a town in Texas, it's just PECO.

Also, it's without. Appointment is spelled...appointment (example of proper ellipse use).

Grad is't capitalized, unless the phone operator unfortunate to handle your idiotic call was named Harvard Grad. Which, admittedly, is a pretty badass name.

How do you feel about all of North America , Europe and Great Britain being shut down at the flip of a switch ? You are aware of how many countries are running smart meters correct ?
Why is Ireland left out? Only the island of Great Britain? Not even the part of Ireland that is in the UK?

Why is the entire United States switching over in one foul swoop
Fell swoop. If you're going to attempt idiomatic English, get your idioms correct.

and thats why "all the morons " across the country
Don't use quotation marks unless it's a quotation.

I don't know guys, this seems legit:

Survey results: wireless meters impact health and safety | EMF Safety Network

I mean, they even have results from a survey designed by someone with a "phd statistics[sic]". That means the survey is beyond questioning, such as how it is self-selecting by people who saw it "circulated online through [emfsafetynetwork.org], email lists and other social media outlets."

The list of symptoms is shockingly long, and is concrete evidence because it is self-reported. More items need to be reported in this fashion so we can know about other great dangers. For example, last week I rode a Septa train. Within 24 hours I had a runny nose, cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, dizziness, concentration issues, and more. Now, naysayers would just say I had a case of the flu or some other common cold, but this evidence is ROCK SOLID, as correlation is causation (and the plural of anecdote is data).

The EMF sensitivity clowns forget to realize that things like radio waves are naturally occurring.

Oh, and that friggin' VISIBLE LIGHT is electromagnetic radiation.

Failed writer? What are you on about. I've never pursued a career in writing. I just am a literate person.

You know what stinks of failure? You being a sh!thead. I'm picking on your grammar because you ideas are worthy only of ridicule. "Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them." - Tommy Jeffs (while hitting that Hemmings trim).

Seriously, more of this radio-waves give people cancer crap? Now with government conspiracy on top? Great!

Go read this: Wi-Fi, Smart Meters, and Other Radio Bogeymen

Actually, you know, learning the physics of what's going on before telling everyone the sky is falling would be helpful. And don't expect someone to take you seriously if your grammar and syntax is so disjointed that it makes your posts hard to read.

If you are unaware of the health risk attached to the SMART meters , than google it !
You have the right to refuse.
I went inside and rang PECO while Igor waited at the front door , when ask the operator confirmed that Igor in fact is holding a smart meter.
However the Harvard Grad that answered the phone assured me that the SMART meter was in no way harmful , nothing had been proven ..... so it was safe to let him in !

"So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the eighth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of City Hall, and together we shall give them a eighth of November that shall never, ever be forgot. It was not my intention to spam , again , I did not realize the same 20 people monitored and post on every neighborhood on the forum , I must of missed the "General News " forum. As far as being an ass , you grammar Nazi welcome wagon has that covered !

Instead of any one actually looking the reason why the whole thing stinks , you jump on the health issue facts , a classic spin. Its an easy way to divide the people. Trust me I am no tree hugging hippie who is afraid of my shadow. Some time down the road when a computer crashes and the whole east goes down ( or worse ) you look over at the meter still blinking and think back
on the day that PECO said " its not a smart meter ". If you think it is just the one installer call them and ask what they are putting in you home , you will need
to ask 3 times untill you get a straight answer.

    I'm not a Luddite nor am I pro-tea party.

But after the report I saw on Fox 29 the other night, if I am able to, I will refuse one of these meters. I have a problem with something that causes a fire risk to my home, even if it's only a small percentage risk.

If the government wanted to shut down power selectively or monitor your activities, they wouldn't have to use a specialized power meter to do it. I believe you were the one who brought up the health issues to begin with. Don't attack others for pointing out facts and claim that they're trying to "divide the people." Sorry, this gets chucked in the baseless conspiracy theory bin.

And if you want people to take you seriously, then use good grammar and write legibly. It's always a good idea to read forum rules before you start posting. Posting the same thing on every sub-forum is spam, and as far as I know, it's considered spam on pretty much every forum out there. It's pretty easy to keep track of new posts on the forum by using the "What's New" button, and when you see that 10 out of the top 20 new posts are yours across multiple forums, then people will start calling you out for spamming.

(Pro-tip: It's at this point you apologize for being a spammer and request that a mod delete all the threads except for the one in the most appropriate forum. Otherwise, I feel you'll find yourself unable to log in due to a ban pretty soon.)

I'm not sure you really thought this through.. I mean, you do use electricity, right? Or a gas/oil heater? All of these things are very small fire risks...
