Are any Chinatown buses that travel from Center City Philadelphia to NY up and running again?

Why not use Bolt Bus or Megabus?
Thanks for your speedy reply to my question. I have used both Bolt and Mega and found them superior to the "Chinatown experience," But the advantage of the Chinatown bus is that you do not need a reservation. They run every half hour and you just show up. In the past I have taken a bolt or mega to NY and then since I am usually in the Lower East Side, the Chinatown bus home.
Bolt and Mega have walk ups too. I's true that that they are often fully booked, but also often there is a no-show or two and you can pay on the spot. I used to do this and use SEPTA+NJT as a plan B (which was actually a lot more comfortable).
Anyway I wouldn't expect the Chinatown buses back anytime soon, at least above ground.
Agreed. Thanks!
FYI: your rendition of "Chinatown" in the thread title is kind of borderline offensive. Not playing PC police, but please, be careful.
Seriously, are there no idiots on this forum who know how to proofread their posts?

They must have acquired the yobus.com domain from a domain speculator, or else they've been planning this for a long time. It's been registered for over 5 years:

Danger Will Robinson! Don't submit your email address in the form at yobus.com, unless you want it to be exposed to harvesting by spammers:

They also have the info.php page publicly viewable. The website is very poorly configured from a security standpoint.

I can't read Chinese, but I can read "PHL <-> NYC" on some of the Chinese-language signs in Chinatown, so I have a feeling that the Chinatown to Chinatown buses are inching back into the market, but trying to keep a low profile. Anyone able to read Chinese who could provide a translation will find these along 10th Street in various places. (Google Googles still doesn't do Chinese, so I'm lost.)

I can probably help with that, although I won't be down there for a while. Have any photos?

30st station McD's is closed? I didn't even notice. I only eat there once a year but I kind of liked it. It doesn't have the panhandlers that the Walnut St location always has.

Sorry, I checked on my way up 10th Street today, and I don't see the small signs with PHL<->NYC any more. Maybe they translated PHL and NYC into Chinese, to make it less obvious. Then again, with Yo! busses advertising in Chinese, maybe it was just them after all. But next time you're in the area, scan the behind-glass message boards on 10th between Arch and Race (near Arch on the east side of the street, about halfway between, across from the firehouse, on the west side of the street) and let us know if you can read anything about busses on those. Heck, I've always wondered what all of those messages are anyway!
