Default Who knows a good (cheap) tailor?

Anyone know a good tailor, either on the main line or in center city? I recently discovered that after losing 30 lbs in the process of prepping for Navy OCS, all of my suit jackets need some serious tailoring to keep from looking like bath robes.

Looking for someone pretty reasonably priced. I don't want to spend too much money on them, as these will most likely need another tailoring job in 6 months or so.

You and me both, I've lost the same amount since joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary and now my SDB's look like crud and I don't want to buy a new $140 coat.

Exactly, I mean, my shoulder width and height are the same, so I don't need new jackets, just someone to take them up around the waist.

I've got one for you - in Chinatown. He's a great guy.

10th and Market Philadelphia, PA - Google Maps

The last building on 10th before Vine Street on the east side of the street. Yellow Awning. I recently lost a lot of weight and he did all the work. He's fast, cheap, and fast. Did I mention fast? Can be hard to understand sometimes, but he does nice work. Called "Best Tailoring". I've used him a lot. Try it.

Cool, thanks, I'll be checking him out in the next few days. Any idea how much he'd charge for a jacket to be taken in?

It is Chinatown....everything is negotiable. He is very reasonable.

I recommend Master Tailor & Cleaners on Spruce between 16th and 17th. They do an impeccable job; I won't trust my suits to anyone else. Their prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work. They also do a very thorough job with dry cleaning.
