    Default A treeless Dilworth Plaza

Well, all of the mature trees have been cut down and interestingly enough it's an improvement in my view. Why is that? Is it because the newly barren plaza allows uninterupted sight lines of the west facade or because the openess feels right?

Has anyone else noticed the change?

Haven't been in CC lately so I can't say how I feel about it yet. My knee-jerk reaction to tree removal, however, is always a thumbs-down, but knowing that the mayor is green-minded, I'm sure taking them down was unavoidable to accommodate the Dilworth Plaza reconstruction project. We'll see.

Of course it's about the reconstruction project. That whole area will be overhauled. The trees just get in the way.

Often times trees are protected on the surface by fences and stuff, but really excavation around trees typically damages roots and you end up with unhappy trees often times.

I haven't been Downtown in a bit, But I must have missed that when I was down there last Friday night.

I didn't even look. Wow, Now I have to see this...

The trees had to go, how else are we going to get this?
