Friend Followed/Assaulted Last Night: Please READ and Pull Tape if you Have it

I also posted this in the QV/BV forum, but need to post here as well.

A good female friend of mine was attacked last night in Bella Vista as she entered her home. She was unlocking her door near 10th and South, when a light complected muscular AA male with a scruffy face quickly approached, pushed her into her vestibule, and started attacking her (standing over her, hitting her, I assume, attempting to rape her). This happened between 1:50 AM and 2:00 AM. Luckily, she's quick witted and fit, so she started kicking and screaming with all of her strength. She called the police, but I fear that because she fended him off and it did not become a more serious crime, they won't investigate it seriously as they should.

I'm posting here because I was with her just prior (until she left our group to walk home) and know exactly the route she took home. If you live or know anyone along the route (homeowner, building owner, business owner) with a camera mounted on their building, I'm hoping you can review or have that person review their camera footage to see if this person was caught on tape. I can give you a better description of my friend in a PM if you have anything that looks suspicious.

She walked south on 12th through Wash West, made a left on Lombard, right on 11th, left on South, right on Alder. She initiated her walk at 1:35ish and was home by 1:50 or so (plus or minus 10 minutes)....Again, if you're along that route....please please please review your camera footage and reach out to me. I'm not sure what precinct that is, but when the cops got there, they drove around with my friend in the car to try to find the perp and could not, and I fear that's all they're going to do.
