    You heard me.

The living areas were an afterthought to the whole building. I remember when they were remodeling the building for living outside of artist and office space. It was a mess for a bit.

That's nothing more than old school loft life.

I'm curious what was the "bad".

I was one of the first to live in one of the converted living spaces. They were, at the time, newly renovated and very nice, big lofts. The management was okay - mostly nonexistent, but we didn't have many problems with the building itself or the living space (except for some immature young girls living in the space next to us who wanted the building to be an episode of Friends and had parties till 3 am on weekends), so we didn't need them. Never got our security deposit back though. The neighborhood, however, never really took off in the 2 years we lived there... (2002/2003). I think we had 1 real restaurant open during that time. I kinda miss Janey's though.
