Here's a great opportunity for anyone who's ever wondered what the Fairmount CDC has done, is doing and plans to do, in Fairmount and the surrounding neighborhood. Rebecca Johnson, the Executive Director of the Fairmount CDC, will present a 10 year report, talk about what's happening now, and plans for the next few years.

AND, just as important, please mark Thursday, November 15, 2012 on your calendar. This is the annual Fairmount Fling, the premier annual fundraiser for the Fairmount CDC. This year, to celebrate 10 years of the Fairmount Neighborhood Plan, we're hosting a VIP Fairmount Food Fight from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Around 10 Fairmount restaurants will participate - they will create special tasting menus for the attendees, the meals will be paired with a cocktail, wine or beer. Attendees will vote on the best restaurant in Fairmount, best pairing, etc. Once the tasting and voting is complete, attendees are free to join the rest of the Fairmount Fling - which parties on to 10:00pm.

Fairmount CDC: A Decade of Growth Town Hall Meetings

Over the past decade, the Fairmount CDC and all of our community partners have all worked hard to improve and help Fairmount grow. Recently, the Fairmount CDC has completed a strategic planning process, where we evaluated all of the accomplishments under the Fairmount Neighborhood Plan and how those accomplishments have made a significant, positive impact on the Fairmount community. As a result of that strategic planning process, we are pleased to share our Fairmount CDC: A Decade of Growth report which highlights what we have accomplished over the past 10 years and outlines the framework for what our plans are for the future.
