WGCC Farmstand Starts Ninth Season!

West Girard Community Council is pleased to announce our Farmstand's ninth season!

This is just a quick reminder that our Farmstand will be open tomorrow morning starting at 10:00AM.

FARMSTAND, GIRARD & 27TH, NW CORNER

SATURDAYS, Starting At 10:00AM
We open at 10am and plan to sell out by 1pm.

At our stand you can choose your produce from either or both of two farms! As a Farm to City affiliate, we're selling fresh local fruits and vegetables from our Farmer, Mr. John King of Lancaster County. And, new this year, we're selling fresh produce from New Growth Project / Marathon Farm right here in Brewerytown. We also offer select varieties of fresh breads baked close by at Metropolitan Bakery in Fishtown.

Our bread menu for tomorrow, June 16, is ::::

FRENCH TABLE LOAF (vegan)
MULTIGRAIN (vegan)
RAISIN NUT
OLIVE THYME (vegan)

Breads are $4.25 per loaf.

We also have BLUEBERRIES on order from John King, as well as a variety of greens from Marathon. + Lots More

For produce we accept CASH, SENIOR VOUCHERS and WIC FARMERS MARKET COUPONS. For bread we accept cash only.

Buying a lot? We carry your bags to your car (if parked nearby) or to the 15 stop.

Each purchase you make helps us finance our projects including the Food Cupboard, which provides free food to neighbors in need.

Dear Friends of West Girard Community Council:

Thank you for your interest in WGCC.

This morning we're excited to say that, for the first time ever, we have "lemon cucumbers" on order. Lemon cucumbers are refreshing and are just the perfect thing for a hot day like today. If you've never had one, you're in for a treat. (And we're hoping to get a special "first day low price" from the farmer.)

And we also have cherries and lots of blueberries on order, plus salad mix and our regular assortment of produce.

Thank you for your interest in WGCC. For tomorrow's Farmstand we have MELONS on order + PEACHES + lots of CORN. Plus our regular selection of produce. We're a Farm to City affiliate. Our produce comes from Amish farmer, Mr. John King, of Lancaster County.

Try Garden Supply Co at 2710 West Girard Avenue...last time I checked, they definitely had pumpkins, maybe even hay bales (though they may be decorative).
