I wonder who put that up there.
Huh. Interesting. I'll have to mosey up there tomorrow and see if it's still there.

You're sure it's not an April Fools illusion?
This might have been an April Fools Day trick! It is strange, because when I came into my office yesterday I did not see the sign.
I know the owners of the land, and I know this sign did not come from them. And I know that this sign did not come from MM Partners.
An expensive April Fool's joke. Those posters cost hundreds of dollars...
If you zoom in on the lower righthand corner, it says something about "a concerned neighbor"...
Perhaps City Maps can tell us what the sign said, and help clear up the mystery.
I just took a walk around the lot; the sign is gone. However, there is a pair of men's dress pants hanging off the fence on the 27th st side, if anyone wants them.
(Man, that Taney St. side is a garbage disaster. Chicken and tampons, effing gross)
Yeah, that was just me entertaining myself on April Fools Day. Apologies to those who made an extra trip to look for it ...was all in fun.
I threw the whole thing together in about a half hour, mixing a photo simulation for a project I'm working on in North Jersey with one from West Girard (taken the morning before.) The plan graphic comes from the Fairmount Neighborhood Master Plan, and the map was just a junky map of the city with a circle. Printing doesn't cost much when you already have a color plotter.
The poster does say "With Love, A Concerned Neighbor," and the text is filled with tips on how the community can influence design in a positive way if real interest re-materializes. So, it was somewhat of an activist move, but mostly a prank, and I just wanted to see what would happen. Imagine if I didn't put it up on April 1st?
Maybe I'll try the joke again next year, leaving it up all day and making an effort to put it on some posts in the ground rather than alligator-clipping it to the fence!
I love it!
You should have left it there......
Wow bravo...probably the best april fools on the whole board
