Barnes Tower to be revived as elderly tower?

pb&j reports that the barnes tower (aka parkway 22) may be revived as senior housing.

That ought to liven up that neighborhood!!! Just kidding. I think it's a great idea. I think seniors need good living options in CC (besides the soviet block) and the Museum district is the perfect choice. I want to live my last days surrounded by so much culture and beauty. I hope this happens.

Oh boy, more bluehairs to pack every neighborhood meeting and stop any further development of the area!

Another negative: urban senior housing towers rarely have good street presence. Many are fortresses to keep out punks and robots. Robots eat old people's medicine.
