Lee Epperson in the third round in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Then he would go on to fight such legends as Joe Louis and Jersey Joe Walcott.
On September 23rd, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pa. Rocky ko'd Jersey Joe Walcott
in the 13th round to win the Heavyweight Championship Of The World.
Rocky fought his last boxing match on September 21, 1955 knocking out
'The Mongoose' Archie Moore in the 9th round at the Yankee Stadium.
Rocky then announced his retirement on April 27, 1956.
Though the life of Rocky Marciano ended nearly 30 years ago the legend still lives on.
