no, i never posted on phillyblog but it did read that site. i grew up in the northeast and besides perhaps the gray lodge i can't imagine what the hipsters you are speaking of would want in that section of the city. i'm not thinking the devon theatre production of nunsense or what have you is going to provide the cultural grease to get the hip youngsters you are talking about moving to the area. do you? even the gray lodge which is one of my favorite beer bars in the city has a pretty strong cyo vibe going on there if you know what i mean.

this thread is pretty ignorant of many of the things you are stereotyping so willfully so hence me posting what i did on the previous page. this coming from a person who, owns a house, works six and sometimes seven days a week, can't honestly say that i ever bought a case of pbr and i do own a single speed bike. i'm not your average one hundred and ten pound hipster either but i do enjoy many of the same things the group you are talking about does.

i do live in fishtown with my wife who grew up in frankford and was born at the former st mary's on frankford avenue. neither of us grew up in the burbs and decided to ruff with the working class by moving to the big ole city.

anyway, my name is chris.
